Valentine’s Day has kind of inheritantly turned evil for single people all over; they focus on the have not of a relationship than the relationships around them. Where did anyone ever see that a romantic relationship was mandatory for any two people on this day? No damn where. This is the first time in two years that I’ve had a Valentine, but those last two years were golden as I pampered myself and ate grand with my closest friends. That’s what Valentine’s is truly about–being around individuals that actually care and want to love you for who you are.
Valentine’s day can be depressing with all the people frantically running around planning what’s next for their lover, but it doesn’t have to be. I have some sure fire rules for singles that I would like to share:
1. Don’t be afraid to step out and do things that make you happy on Valentine’s Day.
2. Make sure you are sexy as hell even if it’s for you.
3. Find a great restaurant with a beautiful view and by all means eat a great meal with great dessert.
4. Be sure to have a drink.
5. Hang out with friends and family instead of waiting around for someone to invite you out
I want everyone to feel loved but I want to warn the ones who think they need another person to fulfill your happiness to know that you can successful love yourself way better than another person can love you.
