Fall Fashion Trends 2013
As summer is briskly passing us by, its time for you to start preparing for whats hot and what’s not for the fall! This fall is focused around the simple complexities of fashion. I never said this fashion journey would be easy; let’s jump right into it!
First up is the House of Grey:
This fall is all about non-extreme simplistic fashion. Grey fits this perfect. Coming in several varieties from charcoal, to smoke, to slate, grey is the perfect compliment to any skin color and is easily paired with other fall palettes. Thus grey ensemble is extreme for most but it definitely makes a statement as designer duo Rag & Bone intended.
The next big theme we see jumping out of fall mock ups at fashion houses and mags such as Vogue is the American Pastoral revival. These styles are very luminescent and reminiscent of a past time. This theme moves us closer to nature and back into our cozy knits, fur, tweed, high boots, and trendy outerwear. This is very evident in Theyskens’ Theory as they used a softer fabric on top, executed it with a loose short flowy A-Line skirt and paired it with riding boots.
The next revival we see is of the infamous color blocking. If you recall Kim Kardashian dawned this trend at the height of her pregnancy in her black and white color-blocked frock which received mixed reviews to say the least. This trend employs complete separation of majority colors as we can see perfectly executed in the, always chic, Victoria Beckham collection.
Another dawning theme we see springing up this fall is the tux; and no not just for men, but women to. Victoria Beckham took a chic and daring stab at it. I think she hit it spot on what do you think.
Next week I will give you more into fall fashion trends; which one of these looks do you like most and least and which one would you rock OFF THE RUNWAY ???
Until Next Week,
