Spring is back and it’s time to get that body together! Pardon My Audacity has set up a detox for beginners to start out on their workout journey. It’s a little challenge that will set the tone for your first week of workouts. As you know, I’ve lost 130 pounds and it all started with detoxing at the beginning of each month.

This is how it works; you don’t want to try these quick detox you read about unless they’re healthy. It’s about starting smart. You want to utilize vegetables, herbal teas, fruit, smoothies, meal replacement drinks and water. If you must have snacks other than vegetables and fruit, use sugar free snacks such as: sugar free jello, applesauce, and pudding, but for the most part suck it up and eat cleaner than normal.

If you want to participate, be sure to notate all of your food and we will share our daily choices. Understand you need to be honest with us and yourself about what you had. If you have anything that’s not too good be sure to tell us; it happens sometimes, but try your best to keep up with your detox for the best results.


Items to shop for:







Sweet Potatoes

Greek Yogurt

Soy Milk

Fresh fruits: apples, bananas, mixed berries, peaches, strawberries, grapes, grapefruit



Tea: Green, Oolong,

Beans: Black Beans, Lima Beans

Alaskan Salmon



Here’s some extra tips for a detox:

1. Plan Ahead. Make sure you plan the night before or a couple of nights before.

2. Eat 3-4 times during the day and a larger meal at night. Larger meals do NOT mean overeat because you feel you haven’t eaten all day.

3. Attempt to drink water when you feel hungry especially during the day.

4. Be positive and start walking or running with your detox.


Realize that this isn’t a ‘get slim quick’ gimmick. This is a jump start for eating clean and work outs. It’s spring so let’s get it.


PMA’s Monday Meal Plan:  

BF: Spinach and Fruit smoothie for breakfast

S: Walnuts and apple slices

L: Raw veggie salad with italian dressing (Not much at all; just for taste)

S: Sugar free Chocolate pudding

D: Black Bean burgers and Sweet potato fries


All participants need to make sure they post WHAT THEY EAT, HOW MANY TIMES THEY ATE, and the DIFFICULTY level of not eating the usual stuff. Let’s motivate one another! I’ll post once everyday about my food journal.
