Oscar De La Renta dies at 82
Legendary Oscar De La Renta dies at 82. PMA sends our deepest condolences to his family and fans all over the world.

Born July 22, 1932, in the Dominican Republic, he was the only son of seven children. He had a vision to transform fabric into beautiful couture pieces that have been worn by all who has an eye for elegance.Today, we will not mourn the tragedy but celebrate the legend.

His bold and innovative designs started at the start of his career in the 1950’s. A statement from de la Renta’s stepdaughter and her husband, Eliza Reed Bolen and Alex Bolen, did not give a cause of death, The Associated Press reports.

“While our hearts are broken by the idea of life without Oscar, he is still very much with us. Oscar’s hard work, his intelligence and his love of life are at the heart of our company,” the statement said. “All that we have done, and all that we will do, is informed by his values and his spirit. Through Oscar’s example we know the way forward. We will make Oscar very proud of us by continuing in an even stronger way the work that Oscar loved so much.”

PMA will honor his work here:
