TK’s Take On NFL Week 11

TK’s Take on NFL Week 11

IMG_6754Week 11 has answered some questions about some teams and raised some for others. I correctly picked the New England Patriots and Green Bay to win their respective games. I did NOT predict that can of whoop ass that was opened on the Indianapolis Colts, I’ve been telling you the Philadelphia Eagles are a fraud at 7-3. Unlike the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia has zero (0) signature wins, That’s not just my innate hatred for the gangrenous Birds, that is the sad and unadulterated truth.I said last week that the Patriots were the best team in football after beating Peyton Manning up in Foxboro in week 10 and they showed that Indy, may be the AFC’s Philly.

New England smacked around the “heir apparent” Colts as Brady, Belichick, and Gronkowski proved that rumors of their demise were grossly exaggerated. Everyone is talking about the back that ran for 199 yards and four (4) touchdowns. Nice, but Gronk blocking the defensive back into the Gatorade and then that catch where he runs guys over literally. You need a nasty tough guy and he is it in New England. That’s exactly what is missing in Denver. It’s so bad, people are actually saying Denver needs to sign Ritchie Incognito, the disgraced bully from the Miami Dolphins. Say it ain’t so…but Denver has no running game and Peyton is throwing 55 times and they are letting people get to Manning. As repugnant as Incognito is, he is a mean, nasty, tough guy, Denver has NO HEART.

NFC South and AFC North are a mess, in opposite definitions. The NFC is mired in mediocrity where 4-6 ties you for first place and the AFC everyone is 6-4 except Cincinnati who is 6-3-1. The Saints who used to be a sure thing at home stink, aside from their unchivalrous fans, there’s no other reason to speak of them. Last night Pittsburgh pulled out what turned out to be a ready Tennessee Titans team, so I am still unsure of what the hell is the deal with the Steelers, one week they look great and then stink up the joint and lose to the Jets. Winning a Superbowl is a week to week assessment and NONE of these teams are winning a Superbowl. You have to win 3 sometimes 4 straight games to win a Superbowl, if you lose you’re gone.

IMG_6753Speaking of Superbowl winners, Aaron Rodgers is playing like his hair is on fire. One problem in Green Bay, the Packers look as if they may have peaked a little too soon. R-E-L-A-X you blew out the Bears and Eagles and you’re looking too pleased with yourselves, P-A-N-I-C it’s not the first Sunday in February, it’s the third in November, and there are two more to go before you get to December. I know Arizona is 9-1 but they too are frauds. They are last year’s Kansas City Chiefs who are doing another “look at us now but not in January!” routine. The Cardinals are pretty bird but Drew Stanton is not Trent Dilfer, meaning that defense is good in Arizona, but it’s not that Ravens team that was winning games 9-3 and 9-6. Don’t believe the hype.

Speaking of the hype, Dallas Cowboys fans have to be puffing their chests out. ALL of the teams in the NFC East division lost, except Dallas who was one a bye after smacking around the Junior Varsity Squad aka Jacksonville Jaguars in my beloved London, England. Dallas plays the hapless Giants on Sunday Night and if you haven’t heard there are rumors that Gotham may be ready to send it’s two ring winning Manning packing, “Eli, don’t throw it all away…” That team down in DC has more drama than an episode of Scandal, and Philly, they are what I told you they were, fraudulent. I’m not calling Dallas a title contender, but they are going to the dance.
